Opportunities

Books and wishes are the “bricks and mortar” that we need to continue, but there are other opportunities to help.

Some of these activities are great for kids to do alone or with friends. The best way to learn that “it is better to give than to receive” is to actively experience it.

The Book Bridge is about making many kinds of connections at home and in our community!

  • Make personal & inspirational bookmarks or draw pictures to put in the children’s book bags.
  • Invite family, friends and co-workers to fulfill book wishes.
  • Fulfill a book wish in honor of someone special (birthday, anniversary, memorial, teacher, etc)
  • Include us in long-term financial planning so that we may continue to improve the educational and social growth of our community through the love of literature.
  • Organize a book drive with mom’s groups, scouts, school clubs, and at your classroom or office.
  • Set up a book collection box at your school, office, or business.
  • Organize a neighborhood book drive using paper bags, fliers, or drop off sites.
  • Help us find more literary resources (library book sales, going out of business sales, etc.)
  • Spread the word through social media.
  • At your next home or office party request book or store gift cards to fulfill book wishes.
  • Ask us how you can “adopt a bookshelf” which provides a variety of books for children in programs to share.
